LIVE | Putin’s Shahed Drone Factory Vanishes Underground: Ukraine Faces A New Nightmare?
Russia is reportedly shifting Shahed-type attack-drone production underground at the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in Tatarstan, according to Ukrainian open-source intelligence analysis based on satellite imagery. Analysts estimate that around 42,000 square metres of underground space has already been built for future production capacity linked to Russia’s Geran drone network. The reported move follows previous Ukrainian strikes targeting the Alabuga site and may be aimed at making the facilities harder and costlier to hit. Reports also say Russia is dispersing workshops, warehouses and supporting infrastructure while adding protection around drone-production sites. Moscow has not publicly confirmed the purpose of the construction.
