Lisa Rubin: ‘A lot of possibility’ for Trump to restore ‘anti-weaponization fund’
After issuing an order to terminate President Donald Trump’s $1.776 billion “anti-weaponization fund,” acting Attorney General Todd Blanche is set to advance Tuesday out of the Senate Judiciary Committee toward confirmation for the permanent role. But MS NOW’s Lisa Rubin warns Blanche’s written memo — announcing the end of the fund to appease Republican Sens. John Cornyn, R-TX, and Thom Tillis, R-NC — might not be the end of it. Rubin tells Morning Joe the agreement leaves ‘a lot of possibility’ for President Donald Trump to revive the fund, which could compensate Jan. 6 insurrectionists.
