Lindsay Clancy Murder Trial LIVE | She Felt ‘External Force’ Take Over Body, Psychiatrist Testifies
Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial enters a critical stage as forensic psychiatrist Dr. Phillip Resnick testifies about her mental state at the time of the killings. Resnick told the jury that Clancy was experiencing postpartum psychosis, command hallucinations and a “delusion of influence,” describing her as feeling like a “puppet” or as though an external force had taken over her body.
The defense argues Clancy was not criminally responsible because of severe mental illness. Prosecutors dispute the psychosis diagnosis and maintain that she remained aware of and responsible for her actions. The defense has now rested, with prosecution rebuttal testimony continuing and closing arguments expected next week.
