Latest Trump renovation: White House columns
With scaffolding and a tarp now up on the North Portico, the White House appears to be undergoing some sort of additional construction or restoration work.
Since the start of his second term, President Donald Trump has started several projects to remake the nation’s capital, including the destruction of the White House’s East Wing to make room for a new ballroom. He’s also seeking to construct an arch outside Arlington National Cemetery.
PBS News’ Liz Landers asked the Trump administration for more about what’s happening. Here’s what she found out.
