White House National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that President Trump’s new EPA rules will help lower the price of groceries.
The Trump administration estimates that American businesses and families will save more than $2.4 billion under the new rules. However, it’s unclear whether or how companies such as grocers would use those savings to make it more affordable for shoppers to fill their carts.
