Jordan, Saudis & Egypt pulled into conflict & more | Military experts on Iran war
This week, President Donald Trump promised retribution after the US military said it intercepted a “surprise attack” by Iran on its forces, ending days of relative calm in the Middle East. Later, Saudi Arabian forces joined strikes against the Iran-allied Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Iraq.
And a fire that broke out on two vessels, included one US-owned, at an Egyptian port Wednesday was caused by a drone, authorities said. If confirmed as a deliberate strike, it would mark the first time Egypt has been directly drawn into the regional conflict.
