Jon Ronson on masculinity and Trump UFC fight
Author Jon Ronson says he saw “real life snapping back” at the manosphere while at the “wild” White House UFC event earlier this year.
“I noticed all week, when I was at the White House, … these maverick men, who thought that they can do whatever they want, real life was snapping back,” he told PBS News’ Geoff Bennett.
Ronson attended the event on the South Lawn in June after writing his book, “The Castle: Adventures in a World of Unraveling Men,” which looks at what happens to men who have become detached from society. While he finished the book before the event, Ronson said he hopes to add a chapter about it in the paperback version.
Ronson joined Bennett for the latest episode of the PBS News podcast, “Settle In.” They discuss his book, modern masculinity and more.
