India Eases Fuel Export Duties as Crude Oil Prices Remain Volatile
India has cut export duties on petrol, diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) as it navigates volatile global crude oil markets and geopolitical tensions in West Asia. Effective June 1, the revised rates aim to strike a balance between ensuring domestic fuel availability and supporting refiners’ export competitiveness. Petrol export duty has been reduced to ₹1.5 per litre, diesel to ₹13.5 per litre, and ATF set at ₹9.5 per litre.
