How the Middle East is in a ‘post WWII-like moment’
Former U.S. diplomat Brett McGurk describes the Middle East as currently being in “a post-World War II-like moment.”
McGurk, who served as President Joe Biden’s national security staff coordinator for the Middle East, tells Compass Points host Nick Schifrin that Iran is facing “enormous economic pressure.”
“I’ve met experts who believe that this pressure is going to cause Iran to really crack,” McGurk said.
