How candidate quality is factoring into tight races
Carrie Dann of The Cook Political Report with Amy Walter told guest moderator Vivian Salama that she’s looking at the U.S. Senate races in Iowa and Kansas “because I think it will tell the story of the Senate battlegrounds overall.”
“Kansas is a more Republican state on paper, but I can imagine a scenario in which the Republican wins in Iowa and loses in Kansas,” Dann said. “The real difference is that candidate quality.”
