How 9/11 changed daily life in America #shorts
The Sept. 11 attacks changed “almost everything” about American life, author Garrett Graff says.
“We have become a much more fearful and anxious country,” he told Judy Woodruff. “I think many Americans who didn’t live in the world before 9/11 in the United States don’t realize how innocent our country really was.”
Graff, author of “The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11,” added that the recent immigration crackdown by federal officials is “an invention of the post-9/11 world” and an attempt to make sure “these type of terror attacks never happen again.”
