“Every person that’s there, someone’s getting paid.” While we often hear “the cruelty is the point” with reference to the Trump regime’s attacks on immigrants, Rep. Adelita Grijalva points out that while there is certainly plenty of cruelty, in the private prison system where many immigrants are being held money is also the point.
