‘Got Placed On Day 1, Now Jobless’: Oracle Revokes Job Offers For IIT & NIT Students
A month after sending shockwaves across the tech world by firing 30,000 people via email, 12,000 of whom were from India and got the news at 6 a.m., software giant Oracle has now left students from top tech colleges in India in the lurch.
The company has reportedly revoked job offers made across multiple IITs and NITs – NIT Warangal’s placement co-ordinator Utkarsh Ranjan shared a post on Linkedin, revealing names of at least 3 students who secured placements on the very first day, but were now left jobless due to Oracle’s decision not to onboard them at the last minute.
