Gibraltar scraps border checks with Spain | DW News


After years of post-Brexit wrangling, border checks between Spain and the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar have been abolished. The move changes everyday life for some 15,000 daily commuters in Spain’s far south but also sheds light on post-Brexit Europe. Jason Dittmer, Professor of Political Geography, tells DW this marks a ‘new era’ in relations between Gibraltar and the EU.
