From Hospital Bed, Sonam Wangchuk Urges People To Join ‘Chalo Sansad’ March


Sonam Wangchuk has called for a massive march to Parliament on July 20, describing the ongoing protests as India’s “second freedom movement.” Writing from Safdarjung Hospital, where he was shifted after 22 days of an indefinite hunger strike, Wangchuk urged citizens to stand up against injustice, including alleged exam paper leaks and what he termed his “illegal detention.” The activist has demanded the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, while his wife Gitanjali J Angmo has raised concerns over his medical treatment, alleging lack of transparency from the hospital. Meanwhile, Abhijeet Dipke claimed Wangchuk was forcibly hospitalised.
