France, Spain Plan Economic Support as Fires Continue
France and Spain are studying ways to pump money into regions hit by massive wildfires. French President Emmanuel Macron said the government will do everything it can to support the displaced people and the businesses dependent on tourism. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said the country’s cabinet will declare the affected areas as “emergency zones” on Tuesday, opening the door to financial aid.
