France: Major security operation ahead of planned protests | DW News
France is mounting a huge security operation ahead of another weekend of nationwide protests after last week’s demonstrations descended into riots, looting and arson. Authorities are deploying 70,000 police and gendarmes, while museums and major events have been cancelled over fears of renewed violence.
