Fact-checking Vance’s claim that Iran conflict is not war


ice President JD Vance told reporters Thursday he “wouldn’t call” the conflict in Iran a war despite the fact that, just hours before, Iran struck U.S. ally Kuwait in retaliation for U.S. strikes earlier this week. On Morning Joe, MS NOW senior national security reporter David Rohde fact-checks Vance’s claims, mentioning the 50,000 service members and 19 naval ships in the region. The conflict, Rohde says, “is obviously a war.”
