The Democrats have taken control of both chambers of the US Congress with a series of victories in the midterm elections, dealing a major blow to President Donald Trump.
The party flipped key Republican Senate seats in Iowa, North Carolina, Ohio and Texas as voter frustration mounted over Trump’s handling of the war in Iran and the economy.
