COMBO BREAKER? Pastor hopes to be Kansas’ first Dem senator in 94 years


Kansas hasn’t sent a Democrat to the Senate since 1932. Now Rev. Adam Hamilton — founder of the largest Methodist church in America — is trying to break the streak.
The Rev. Adam Hamilton enters the race as a potentially formidable candidate, though it appears likely that at least a few of the eight other, lesser-known Democrats who previously launched campaigns would remain in the Aug. 4 primary. The winner will face incumbent Republican Roger Marshall, who aligned himself closely with President Donald Trump.
