California passes bill restricting social media for teens under 16

California unanimously passed a bill that could limit social media use for those under 16 years old using apps with certain “harmful” features. State assemblymember Josh Lowenthal said the proposed legislation aims to ban “social media from accessing our children” while speaking with CNN’s Elex Michaelson.
