Burger King rebuilt its nuggets after customers called them thin, dry and rubbery | Sozzi Unleashed

Tom Curtis, president of Burger King U.S. and Canada, brought Brian Sozzi a box of rebuilt chicken nuggets and the reviews that forced them. Customers told a company listening line the old ones were thin, dry and rubbery, and Curtis repeats it on camera.

The fix is a crunchier coating, a thicker bite and new sauces. The fries are next, though he will not say when, and chicken fries after that.

Then Sozzi raises Starbucks, which had just described AI-powered drive-thrus on its own earnings call. Curtis will not follow. Burger King already runs AI inside its restaurants, he says, but the order board is where he draws the line.
