BREAKING: Conservative activist Charlie Kirk shot at Utah event

DEVELOPING: Conservative influencer Charlie Kirk was shot on Wednesday at a Utah university. Kirk, who is the CEO of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), had brought his “American Comeback Tour” to Utah Valley University, where news of his appearance had been met with fierce protest. A spokesperson for Utah Valley University told MSNBC that Kirk was shot around 1:20 p.m. local time, adding “a single shot was fired from a building close by about 200 yards away.” Authorities do not have a suspect in custody, according to Utah Valley University spokesperson Ellen Treanor.
