Binance lost $6.3 billion in the biggest crypto theft ever

The FBI has attributed the $6.3 billion theft from Binance to North Korea’s TraderTraitor group, which moved the money across ten blockchains in about twenty minutes. Binance says it replaced roughly 95% of it from its own reserves, and investigators have frozen another $2.85 billion. Scott Melker explains why the outflows stayed under 4% of customer assets.

Strategy bought 811 Bitcoin and now holds 849,327. Bitcoin ETFs lost $643 million on Friday, their worst day since June. And Chris Larsen, Chairman of Ripple, is personally funding the senator his own company’s super PAC is spending millions to defeat.
