Belgium Train Tragedy LIVE: School Bus Hit, Atleast 4 Dead, Several Injured In Deadly Accident
In Buggenhout, northern Belgium, a train and a school minibus collided, killing two adults and two children, ages 12 and 15.
At the time of the crash, which happened just after 8:00 local time (06:00 GMT), the bus was carrying seven children, a driver, 49, and a chaperone, 27. Jean-Luc Crucke, the Belgian minister of mobility, verified claims that the barriers on a level crossing were down at the time of the collision. The public prosecutor’s spokesperson informed reporters that an inquiry has been started into the event and that the other five children on the bus are in critical but stable condition at the hospital. There were no injuries aboard the train. Berger said that one guy was receiving shock treatment.
