Australia announces OpenAI hack amid UN talks | DW News
Australia reported that a public-facing healthcare website had been breached in July by an OpenAI agent – and that the company only reported it in September, by emailing a generic government inbox which is only checked once daily. In a striking juxtaposition, the announcement came as tech leaders – including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman – met with the UN Security Council to talk about the risks of AI. The meeting was called by France during the UN General Assembly gathering of world leaders, including Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
