AMD’s CEO says AI demand is arriving faster than anyone planned for | Sozzi Unleashed
Lisa Su runs the company whose data center revenue just grew 97% in a single quarter, and Brian Sozzi asks her what keeps catching her out. Her answer is about planning. Most companies set a budget once a year and hold it, and she says AI has turned those plans into moving targets. Her example is Meta’s Muse agent, which more than 10 million people set up in about six weeks, a curve she says was not in anyone’s regular plan.
She also guides her data center business up 50% from the third quarter to the fourth, declines to call next year’s doubling a ceiling, and answers Sozzi straight on whether the market is right to doubt AI spending.
