Some members of Alternative for Germany, which is leading German opinion polls, have been linked neo-Nazi groups. The party’s co-leader, Alice Weidel, told The Economist’s editor-in-chief, Zanny Minton Beddoes, that accusations there are extremists within the AfD are “completely unfounded”.
