Alex Pretti’s parents plead for justice 275 days after fatal ICE shooting
Alex Pretti’s parents demanded answers Tuesday, saying the federal government has stayed silent for 275 days since immigration agents shot and killed their son, a US citizen, in Minneapolis in January.
The day of the shooting, the Department of Homeland Security posted that agents were conducting a targeted operation when an “individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun” and that after they tried to “disarm the subject,” an agent “fired defensive shots,” though video of the incident disputed those claims.
