Remember when $20K could get you a decent used car? In 2019, 55.2% of used cars were priced under $20K. In 2026, that number is 31.8%.
Meanwhile, the average 3-year-old car has jumped from $22,591 to $32,461. The “affordable used car” is becoming a thing of the past.
