What happens at Oktoberfest when someone gets lost, falls ill, feels unsafe or needs help? We take a closer look at how the world’s largest folk festival keeps visitors safe. At the halfway point of Oktoberfest, incidents are up slightly compared to 2025, authorities report. Police have recorded 380 offenses so far, most of them drug-related. The first aid clinic has treated 4243 patients (up 7% on last year), with 55 needing a hospital transfer. Two people have died.
