This year’s El Niño may be the strongest on record yet. The World Meteorological Organization says it will intensify until at least February – and governments need to act before it’s too late. Liz Bentley from the UK’s Royal Meteorological Society tells DW the phenomenon will most likely exacerbate climate change around the globe.
