NJ Gov. Mikie Sherrill gives an update on protests at ICE facility
“We’ve seen what has happened with ICE across the country. I won’t let that unfold here.”
New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill provided an update on the situation outside Delaney Hall, an ICE detention center, where protesters clashed with federal agents.
The governor announced a curfew in Newark following the unrest. The curfew will be in effect from 9pm until 6am every night until further notice — a half mile in each direction around the facility.
