7 dead after storms and catastrophic floods in Midwest
A week of heavy storms and catastrophic floods in the Midwest has killed at least seven people.
In Indianapolis this weekend, the White River rose to record-breaking levels, submerging homes and washing out roads and bridges.
Officials said wind gusts in other parts of the state reached about 100 miles an hour, downing trees and power lines. More than 100,000 people are still without power.
The storms led to similar scenes across much of Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky. There were still flood watches and warnings across parts of the Midwest and mid-Atlantic on Monday.
