6 questions with Scripps spelling bee host Mina Kimes
ESPN NFL analyst and recent “Celebrity Jeopardy! All-Stars” winner Mina Kimes is taking over as host of the Scripps National Spelling Bee this year.
Nearly 250 spellers will compete for the trophy and more than $50,000 in case and prizes in the annual competition, which takes place from May 26 to 28 in Washington, D.C.
Kimes sat down with PBS News Hour co-anchor Amna Nawaz for few quick questions, including on her own childhood spelling bee wins and her advice for students competing today.
