Hegseth plans to slash number of top military officers | DW News
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has announced plans to cut the number of generals and admirals by 20% by January 1, 2027. DW’s Shannon Redstall discusses the implications with Carrie A. Lee of the German Marshall Fund and Brent Sadler, a former Navy captain and senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation.
