‘DIRTBAG’: Joe DESTROYS Eric Schmitt for FAILED ‘gotcha’ moment at Jack Smith hearing

Former special counsel Jack Smith defended his prosecutions of President Trump before the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday. The biggest moment from the hearing came when Republican Senator Eric Schmitt of Missouri suggested Smith had a meeting in Atlanta with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis in February 2024. That attempt at a “gotcha” moment backfired because Schmitt had the facts wrong. The Morning Joe panel discusses Schmitt’s ‘epic fail’ and their disbelief at how the GOP lawmaker continues to defend his massive mistake after the hearing.
