LIVE from Bangkok as residents are moved into emergency shelters following days of torrential rain and widespread flooding.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has reported thousands of people moved to temporary shelters, while around 52,000 households have been affected across the capital. Some residents have been trapped in flooded homes as water levels remain high in parts of the city.
Authorities have urged people living near canals to move belongings to higher ground and avoid unnecessary travel. The army and city authorities are assisting with shelters, kitchens and drainage operations.
The situation remains fluid, with officials watching for additional rainfall while attempting to drain the floodwater.
