French tightrope walker Tatiano-Mosio Bongonga spanned the 400 meters between Europe’s two tallest slag heaps – performing acrobatic feats at 80 meters above ground along the way. The slag heaps of Los-en-Gohelle are the byproduct of almost a century of coal mining activity – and one of a handful of former mining sites with UNESCO World Heritage status.
