Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff: “We cannot let AI be social media 2.0”

Marc Benioff sat down with Brian Sozzi at Dreamforce, days after launching Claudeforce with Anthropic and putting Dario Amodei, Sam Altman and Jensen Huang on his stage. Sozzi asks him about a remark Benioff made years ago, that Facebook was the new cigarette, and whether AI is the next one. Benioff says the industry cannot repeat social media, that companies and executives have to take absolute responsibility for what they build, and he names the Hugging Face accident as the kind of thing that has to be prevented.
