The Houthis claimed they shot down a Saudi F-15 fighter jet over Yemen’s Marib province on September 16, alleging the aircraft was hit by a locally made air-to-air missile while supporting Saudi military operations. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree also claimed Saudi F-15s and Typhoons launched from Khamis Mushait and Taif bases, as the group said 52 Saudi airstrikes targeted Yemen over 24 hours. The claims have not been independently verified.
