Will FEMA Be There When Disaster Strikes? CA Congresswoman SLAMS the Politicization of Disaster Aid


FEMA has come under fire over workforce cuts and lack of strategic planning, as a new government watchdog report warns the agency may not be prepared for future disasters. On top of that, wildfire survivors in California are now dealing with cuts to a key recovery lifeline, after FEMA stalled federal funding. CORE Response’s Ann Lee said in reaction to the cuts, “if the funding does not come through, there’s thousands of families that we are not going to be able to continue to support.”
