Chinese President Xi Jinping’s highly secretive Hongqi N701 presidential limousine has arrived in New Delhi for the BRICS Summit 2026. Vehicles from the official convoy were transported under heavy black covers, sparking widespread curiosity. The Hongqi N701 — “Hongqi” meaning “Red Flag” — is a bespoke armoured limousine developed exclusively for China’s top leadership and not sold to the public. Approximately 5.5 metres long, it is believed to feature heavy armour, bullet-resistant glass, reinforced bodywork and protected tyres. Some reports claim blast and chemical protection, along with a 6.0-litre V12 engine producing around 408 horsepower.
