In Post 9/11 Era, NYC’s Downtown Forges Life Beyond Wall Street


Lower Manhattan has evolved from a business district that largely emptied out after work into a hub for housing, culture and nightlife, with the population more than doubling since 9/11.
The area has added almost 25,000 residential units since 9/11, and its workforce has diversified, with financial services now representing 25% of downtown’s occupied space. Blomberg’s Amanda L. Gordon joins Bloomberg Intelligence to discuss.
