USS Lincoln stops in Thailand after 9 months at sea
Sailors and Marines from the USS Abraham Lincoln are on dry land in Thailand following their long deployment in the Middle East.
About 5,000 service members streamed into the beach city of Pattaya by bus on Thursday after more than nine months at sea.
Multiple media reports raised concerns about poor living conditions aboard the ship. Military officials and President Donald Trump largely dismissed those claims.
The crew will enjoy several days of rest and relaxation in Thailand before the weathered ship is scheduled to resume its journey home to San Diego on Sunday.
