‘No Double Standards’: PM Modi Calls For Unity Against Terror Ecosystem In Shehbaz Sharif’s Presence
At the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit in Bishkek on 1 September, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for collective action to dismantle the entire ecosystem of terrorism — its financing, recruitment, radicalisation and safe havens. Speaking in the presence of several world leaders, including Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Modi said there can be no place for double standards on this issue. He stressed that countries using terrorism as an instrument of policy or providing shelter and support to terrorists must be sent a strong message that terrorism cannot be a strategic asset for anyone.
