Kurdish-led SDF has dissolved under a deal which recognizes Kurdish rights | DW News
The Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces, which for years operated largely outside the control of Damascus, are being absorbed into the Syrian state. It’s a major breakthrough for President Ahmed al-Sharaa, but one that leaves big questions over Kurdish rights and Syria’s long-term stability. We spoke to Kristian Brakel, political analyst and director of the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Beirut office.
