Tupac Murder Trial: ‘Lack Of Physical Evidence’ Becomes Key Defense Argument | Tupac Murder Case

The murder trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis, accused of orchestrating the 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur, is reaching a crucial stage in Las Vegas.

As closing arguments begin, Davis’ defense is highlighting what it calls a lack of physical evidence directly tying him to the shooting. Defense attorney Michael Sanft has argued that investigators could not independently corroborate key claims Davis made over the years, including statements about his involvement in the attack.

Prosecutors, however, are relying heavily on Davis’ own past statements and interviews, arguing that he helped orchestrate the attack following an altercation involving Tupac and Davis’ nephew earlier that night.

Davis is not accused of pulling the trigger. Prosecutors allege he helped orchestrate the killing, a theory that can support a murder charge under Nevada law.
