Trump’s biggest midterm problem? He’s not listening to the people


As Congress returns to Washington, Republicans are increasingly avoiding in-person town halls—and the tough questions from their constituents. With voters facing rising costs, economic uncertainty, and the fallout from Trump’s policies including a trade war with Canada that’s set to hurt America’s farmers – the GOP may be learning the hard way that ignoring voters comes with a price. Maine Congresswoman and farmer Chellie Pingree says, “this is a year and a half of bad policy followed by his last term of bad policy” adding, “if you ask people would you pay a little bit more if you knew you were buying from the farmer down the road…people support.”
