FDA’s Tukaram Mundhe Sends Notices to SRK, Ajay Devgan & Tiger Shroff Over Vimal Ad | Here’s Why
Maharashtra FDA has issued show-cause notices to Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff over their endorsement of Vimal Elaichi. The regulator says the campaign may amount to surrogate or indirect promotion of pan masala or tobacco-related products, which are prohibited in Maharashtra. The notices, issued on August 11 under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, give the actors 15 days to respond. The FDA has also recently taken action against food establishments, including suspending a Pizza Hut outlet’s licence over alleged food safety violations.
